Learn How To Find Information Without Having To Remember It All
From the FASTER syllabus: this article is taught in full in the honest route from scratch to qualified, no sales calls and free lifetime return access →

In short: You do not need to remember everything to research well as a trainer. FASTER teaches you to find information when you need it, save it in your personal library in your own words, accept every level of evidence into that library, and filter by evidence level at the moment a decision needs making. Your words, not AI, so the knowledge stays yours.
The short version
Somewhere between deciding to become a trainer and starting the course, a quieter worry tends to show up behind the obvious one: how much am I going to have to memorise. The answer at FASTER is very little. You learn to research well without needing the academic background, you save what you find in your personal library, and you filter it by the level of evidence at the moment a decision needs making.
Key Takeaways
- You learn how to find information, not how to remember it all.
- Research well without needing the academic background.
- Save it all in your personal library, written in your words, not AI's, so the knowledge stays yours.
- Every level of evidence is accepted into the library, then filtered by quality when you need to make the decision.
The worry, and why it is the wrong one
The industry runs on confident claims dressed up as fact. A coach says something because their coach said it, a guru builds a theory on nothing and puts a name to it, and it spreads. New trainers see that noise and assume the answer is to memorise a textbook of counters to it. It is not. The answer is knowing how to find the good information when a real client question is in front of you.
Find it, don't memorise it
The course text is blunt about where decisions come from. The only real question about any decision, it says, is the quality of the evidence behind it. Working from opinion, common sense or a guru's word instead of the best available science is a disservice to the client, and it can cause harm.
That sentence is not asking you to hold a library in your head. It is asking you to be able to reach one. FASTER teaches you where to look and how to read what you find, without needing the academic background first.
Save it all in your personal library
Every useful thing you find goes into your own library, and everything is accepted, from a full systematic review to one coach's observation that worked on one client. You write each entry in your own words. Not AI's words, yours, because the point is that you have the knowledge, not that a machine holds it somewhere near you.
Filter when the decision arrives
The filtering happens at the moment a client decision needs making, and that is when the level of evidence does its work. A stack of good studies outweighs a guru's confident claim. A single observation is still worth keeping, and it waits at the right weight until something stronger confirms it or replaces it. Nothing is thrown away, and nothing weak gets to steer a client's health just because it was said loudly.
Where this comes from
This is one of the things you learn on our CIMSPA-recognised personal training course, covered before a client is ever on the books, so a new trainer starts from a working system rather than a pile of things to remember.
What to do next
A library you built, in your own words, filtered by evidence when it matters, is worth more to a client than any memorised page. The Certified PT Bundle covers Level 2, Level 3 and Movement Trainer together, and this way of working with information is built in from the first module.

Do I need a science background to get through the research parts of Level 2/3?
No. FASTER teaches research for non-academics. You learn to find information when you need it rather than memorise it, and the course builds the skill from the start.
Do I have to reject weak evidence?
No. Everything goes into your library, from a full study to a coach's observation. The filtering happens when a decision needs making, and that is when the level of evidence decides how much weight it carries.
Does finishing Level 2/3 unlock PT Manager for real clients?
Yes. PT Manager opens the moment you sign up, and adding real clients unlocks once you pass a course.
